Together, our four divisions enable us to work throughout the lifecycle of infrastructure assets, from raising and structuring funding, through programme management and design to construction, systems integration and lifetime operation and maintenance.
The four projects below show detailed case studies highlighting the scale and breath of our business.
Birmingham Hospital
In 2006, we were awarded the £553 million PFI contract to design, construct, finance, maintain and manage the new Birmingham Acute and Adult mental health facility. At the peak of our work, we've had around 1,500 employees on site.
When completed in 2012, the hospitals will provide the city with over 1,200 in-patient beds and a single roof for all its state-of-the-art medical facilities. That's when our Support services division will take over, handling the maintenance and facilities management.
The project has been a huge success and won several awards, including a Sustainability Award from Constructing Excellence in the West Midlands, a RoSPA Gold Award for Occupational Health and Safety and an Environmental Excellence Award from the Chartered Institute of Waste Management for Site Management.
