Stage 1

Your application form is a professional business proposition. We're not just interested in your academic achievements but in the whole you. Think about the experiences you've had in other parts of your life that show your skills and qualities. Our Values underpin everything we do so make sure you've demonstrated evidence of these where applicable in your application form.

Practice questions are available for each test; these will appear as separate links within your account. We strongly advise you to complete these. They will help by familiarising you with the format of the questions and how to answer them. You'll only get one opportunity to complete each test so make sure you have sufficient time set aside and you are free from distractions.

And remember, there's no need to complete everything in one go so take your time completing each section.

Stage 2

When planning for the assessment day there are several key things that will help you enjoy, and succeed on, the day. First and foremost, be prepared. Preparation is critical. Make sure you have the correct time, date and venue and give yourself plenty of time to get there. Just in case you're delayed on the way, take the company phone number with you.

Beyond this there are numerous things that you can do to help your chances of success at the assessment day:

• Make sure that you re-read through your application.
• Refresh your knowledge of the company and make sure you are up-to-date with recent industry developments and initiatives.
• Prepare answers to possible interview questions in advance. Your university careers service will be able to assist you with example interview questions.
• Think about your interests and recent achievements, both academic and non-academic, which you could talk about in an interview situation.
• Read about our values and think of examples where you have demonstrated these behaviours, and the competencies required for the role you've applied for.
• Prepare questions that you would like to ask us in order to make sure we are the right company offering the right opportunity for you. Managers, graduates and HR representatives will all be available to speak to on the day.
